Ann Marie’s Bacon Bar has an obvious focus, clearly spelled out in its name. Owner Ann Marie Dunlap’s restaurant idea, open now at 10301 Taylorsville Rd. in Jeffersontown, seems to have filled a need, for the restaurant had to close early one day soon after its opening because it ran out of food.
Dunlap describes her restaurant as Southern farm-to-table, with some of its bacon cured and smoked in-house. The restaurant also offers entrees and sandwiches with turkey, beef and duck bacon.  She was inspired by other such bacon-centric restaurants she had heard of in Vegas, Chicago and New York. Dunlap, who has a degree in business and says she has always loved to cook will stock her menu with family favorites.
The restaurant features a game room, patio and a space for private parties. Dunlap said their hours currently vary while they await their liquor license, which they should get soon.
