Down One Bourbon Bar will host an intimate dinner with Wild Turkey master distiller Jimmy Russell Friday, April 18 at 7 p.m.

Held in the private, Speakeasy Room, the meal includes three courses with drinks paired with each course. The menu includes:

  • Passed canapé paired with a Kentucky Reviver cocktail, a drink featuring Wild Turkey 81, Cointreau, Lillet Blanc, lemon juice and a mint sprig
  • Shrimp and grits paired with Admiral Russell’s Punch which blends Russell’s Reserve bourbon, black strap rum, lime juice, ginger beer and Angostura bitters.
  • Roasted lamb shoulder gyros paired with the Boulavardier, a drink featuring Wild Turkey Rare Breed, Campari, Noilly Pratt Sweet Vermouth and Regan’s Orange Bitters.

Down One Bourbon Bar, located at 321 West Main Street in Louisville, Kentucky, is the newest addition to Louisville’s expanding Bourbon Row.  It features a world-class bourbon collection that totals close to 100 different bourbons, as well as local craft beers, specialty cocktails and distinctive wines by the glass.  The Wild Turkey Dinner is the second in an expected long series of Master Distiller’s Dinners.
