Food & Dining Magazine’s digital editor asked if any Louisville area establishments would be honoring National Brisket Day, a profoundly unscientific sampling that yielded the following suggestions.

Troy recommended Jucy’s Smokehouse in Pewee Valley, where he’s the manager.
“Martin’s BBQ Joint has amazing brisket seven days a week,” enthused frequent customer RJ. It’s at 3408 Indian Lake Drive, off Westport Road.
KL cast a ballot for Rubbies Southside Grill & Bar, near the airport, and the inimitable beer barker Sam Cruz chimed in: “Everyday at Against The Grain Brewery and Smokehouse is Brisket Day.”
To reiterate, this survey is by no means exhaustive. Barbecue can be polarizing, and it’s more than a style of cooking. It’s a creed, and barbecue adherents have both rites and favorites. Differing opinions are a consequence, and these are instructive for those of us on the outside, who can set aside the finer points in pursuit of what is perhaps the ultimate in comfort food.
